About the Greater Akron Canton Payroll Association

The Greater Akron Canton Payroll Association (GACPA) is dedicated to advancing the payroll profession through education, networking, and mutual support. Our mission is to help payroll professionals enhance their knowledge, stay current with ever-changing payroll laws and regulations, and gain recognition for the vital role payroll plays in today’s business environment. Through education and engagement, both our members and their employers benefit.

GACPA proudly serves payroll professionals in the following Ohio counties:

Monthly Meetings

Meetings are held September through May.

• In-Person Meetings: Second Thursday of the month, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
• Virtual Meetings (Zoom): Second Thursday of the month, 12:00–1:30 p.m.

Our annual schedule includes a blend of in-person and virtual meetings. In-person meetings rotate among locations throughout the region we serve, while virtual meetings are hosted via Zoom. Meeting locations and formats are listed on each event registration page.

In-person meetings include dinner, a brief chapter business meeting, and a featured educational speaker. Eligible meetings offer the opportunity to earn Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs) toward your PayrollOrg certification.

Registration

Member Pricing

• Purchase your annual GACPA membership.
• Once your membership is active, you’ll automatically receive discounted member pricing for future events when you log in.

Non-Member Pricing

• You can create a free account without purchasing membership.
• After logging in, you can register for meetings at the non-member rate.

Virtual Meeting Attendance

Membership is not required to attend virtual meetings or earn eligible RCHs.

To receive credit, participants must:

• Register for the meeting in advance.
• Join Zoom using their full first and last name matching their registration of the event.
• Actively participate by responding to attendance or engagement questions during the session.
